Dial A Vet is an Australian technology company based in Sydney, NSW. The company is a telehealth veterinary advice service, which was founded in 2021 and launched in 2022. Founded by Joshua Fidrmuc, who wanted to solve costly vet consultations and long wait times. Launching in October 2022, Dial A Vet was featured on National News and Sunrise, Australia’s most watched breakfast show.

Fidrmuc built Dial A Vet in his Melbourne apartment in 2021 whilst working a corporate finance job. The app was being built as the ‘Uber’ for veterinary care. As this time was during the COVID-19 outbreak, Fidrmuc spent significant time building the app with developers.
In early 2022, Fidrmuc recruited over 250 veterinarians and veterinary nurses across Australia to join their veterinary network to provide advice to pet owners.
Late 2022, Joshua Fidrmuc built a database of over 2,000
pet owners waiting for the Dial A Vet app to launch. At the time, it was the first of its kind in Australia and received significant interest of launch in October 2022. Fidrmuc signed up over 1,000 pet owners within the first month, pushing it to the top charts of the Apple App store.In December 2022, Dial A Vet was ranked as the number 1 veterinary advice app on the app store. Dial A Vet can be accesses from devices with internet connectivity. After registering, users can create a profile for them and their pet/s. Dial A Vet offers a membership, which allows pet owners to speak to licensed veterinary professionals, anywhere and anytime.
Users of the app can connect to a veterinarian or veterinary nurses in minutes via video consultation.
